Alejandro Romero-Torres, PhD, SPC, PMP, CIRANO Researcher and Professor in the Department of Management at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), shared his analysis in a Radio-Canada report on the potential effects of the labour shortage on the Québec City tramway construction site.
He noted that the demand for more than 4,000 workers per year could increase pressure on the labour market, drive up costs, and intensify competition among major infrastructure projects being carried out simultaneously across Quebec.
