Science Meets Parliament – An initiative of the Canadian Science Policy Centre (CSPC)

CIRANO is proud to have participated in the closing evening of Science Meets Parliament, an initiative of the Canadian Science Policy Centre (CSPC) designed to strengthen connections between the scientific community and Canadian parliamentarians. This evening of rich exchanges offered exceptional visibility for CIRANO, the Francophone International Network for Scientific Advice (RFICS), and partner universities.

The objective of this initiative is to reinforce the links between the scientific and political communities in Canada, to foster bilateral dialogue, and to promote a deeper mutual understanding of key issues. It enables scientists to gain a clearer understanding of the realities of public policy development, while allowing parliamentarians to further explore the use of evidence-based decision-making.

Nathalie de Marcellis-Warin had the honour of presenting the Pioneers / Trailblazer Awards at the 2025 CSPC Gala on behalf of the jury members, for the following award categories: (1) Innovation Policy, (2) Policy for Science, (3) Science for Policy, and (4) Science and Society.
