The next generation of researchers gathered at CIRANO for a student symposium organized by the CREEI Chair, GRCH, and ECOSVieQ

On June 11, CIRANO hosted a student symposium organized by the Research Chair on Intergenerational Economic Issues (CREEI), the Human Capital Research Group (GRCH), and ECOSVieQ. The event brought together students and researchers for academic presentations and discussions on several major contemporary economic and social issues.

Divided into four sessions, the conference highlighted a wide range of research focusing in particular on intergenerational mobility, immigration, language policies, educational trajectories, the effects of public policies, health, and women’s participation in the labor market.

The presentations drew on various quantitative, econometric, and machine learning approaches, illustrating the richness and diversity of the methods used by the next generation of researchers to analyze economic and social transformations.

Beyond the presentation of results, the event fostered exchanges among participants, allowing them to receive feedback on their work and forge new connections with other researchers.
