The 29th T2M Conference brings together the macroeconomics research community at HEC Montréal

On June 2 and 3, HEC Montréal hosted the 29th edition of the “Theories and Methods in Macroeconomics” (T2M) conference, an annual event that brings together researchers from a range of backgrounds to discuss recent advances in macroeconomics.

This year’s edition was organized by Giacomo Candian (HEC Montréal, CIRANO), Sophie Osotimehin (ESG UQAM, CIRANO), Nora Traum (HEC Montréal, CIRANO), and Pablo Winant (ESCP). The program featured several parallel sessions, two keynote lectures, and thematic workshops addressing a wide range of topics, including innovation, artificial intelligence, labour markets, monetary and fiscal policies, firm dynamics, and the open economy.

The conference provided an opportunity to foster scientific exchange and knowledge sharing around key issues in contemporary macroeconomics. It also created a valuable space for discussion and collaboration within the research community.

Several CIRANO researchers took part in the conference, including Étienne Lalé, Julien Martin, and Florian Mayneris, contributing to the presentations and discussions throughout the event.
